Training Statement

Davie & McCulloch believe that the training of employees is key to the success of the Practice and development and growth of our business.

The Partners are committed to providing each member of staff with the correct training tailored to their particular discipline from Administration level through to Partner level.

Davie & McCulloch are also committed to achieving the Investors in People award and see the implementation of this Training Policy as a key objective in meeting this requirement of the IiP Standard.

All new staff are given training on practice procedures and in-house working practices and encouraged to be pro-active in gaining further qualifications.

IT skills are of particular importance to the practice as all systems operated require a good knowledge and skill level in computing and the Practice has adopted The European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) as the standard to be attained by all employees.

Training is given to staff through a mixture of in-house training seminars presented by experts in particular fields and externally sourced training such as colleges and universities.

In addition to this the Partners are committed to ensuring that all staff work towards achieving recognised qualifications and where appropriate, memberships for Engineering Institutions.

In order to keep up to date with changing technology and standards within our industry regular technical reviews are held where external parties are invited to attend and contribute.
